Anson Burtch I love this album! It’s so great to listen to while relaxing, working, or out on a walk. It feels like he’s painting vast landscapes with sound in my head. Lots of Chuck Johnson vibes on this record, and I’m glad there are multiple artists experimenting in this pedal steel space. Favorite track: mundi tuum est.

Admo A revolutionary work and one that has completely changed my thinking about the pedal steel guitar. Schneider conjures otherworldly soundscapes in service of both narrative force and emotional transcendence. Favorite track: mundi tuum est.

madamadam217 As a guitarist, I truly appreciate the fantastic imagination displayed within this album. I looked Mr. Schneider up and discovered his session work, much to my delight. Only makes sense I love those respective records like I do with this type of craftsmanship. Keep going!

about

This recording, which can justifiably be described as "new age" in the most essential sense, represents a radical new approach to the versatile and cosmic instrument of the steel guitar. This is something new under the sun, a total reinvention of an iconic instrument. Quite literally, there has never been anything else quite like it. All of the sounds heard on this album were made with a 1967 Emmons Push/Pull pedal steel guitar by Luke Schneider, a popular session musician in Nashville, Tennessee. Luke has been an important band member for artists such as William Tyler, Caitlin Rose, Margo Price, and Orville Peck.
